01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

Mariscos Puerto Vallarta, nestled in the heart of Tulare, CA, is a vibrant seafood restaurant that masterfully captures the essence of coastal Mexican cuisine. From the moment you arrive at 1776 E Tulare Ave, you’re greeted not just by the inviting aromas of fresh seafood but by the warmth of a team that truly values its guests.

Diners consistently rave about the bold, authentic flavors reminiscent of home-cooked meals back in Mexico. Signature dishes like the shrimp diablas mocajete are a fiery celebration of the sea, perfectly balancing spice, tenderness, and zest. Each bite bursts with freshness, transporting you to the sunny shores of Puerto Vallarta. Customers often praise the ample portion sizes, making it an ideal spot for those with hearty appetites looking for a satisfying meal.

The restaurant’s atmosphere is lively yet comfortably casual—perfect for family gatherings, celebrations, or simply unwinding after a long day. One customer fondly remembers enjoying the music and DJ vibes that added a festive touch to their birthday lunch, making the experience not only delicious but memorable. The staff’s friendliness is a recurring highlight, with attentive service that often starts from the parking lot and continues through your meal, creating a welcoming and engaging environment.

That said, every place has room to grow. Some guests note minor inconsistencies, such as a shift in rice flavor from corn to carrot, which affected their dining experience. There have also been isolated moments where the service could feel less polished, yet the overall warmth and genuine hospitality remain undeniable.

If you’re seeking flavorful, authentic seafood with a dash of family spirit and festive energy, Mariscos Puerto Vallarta is a local gem worth discovering. Whether you’re a Tulare resident or passing through, this is a spot where the ocean’s bounty and heartfelt service come together beautifully.

The good is so good. Sometimes it smells funky but its expected since it is a sea food place staff is really nice specially the manager I forgot her nice but she was very attentive and helpful. Only thing I didn't like is they changed the rice flavor they had corn in it and now they have carrots its not good I hope they go back to corn.

People were very nice. Looking for a place to eat some Seafood at. They liked what they ordered. They said it was delicious. I enjoyed my burrito. They just needed more soda options . But the people were nice...the Music & Dj was a hit with my Great Grandbaby. We were celebrating a birth. We all had a good time

The food here is amazing! The waitresses could be better. Mentioned this place to an out of town relative and when we got there we didnt get the best service. When it was time to pay, we were going over our receipt and the waitress was laughing. It was so upsetting since I was so excited to take my family there.

Good food. The mariachi played good, they were playing songs and requested songs of your choice. The chips and salsa were lemony and spicy, Yum! Muchiladas a must have at any mexican restaurant. I had the fajitas with carne asada, shrimp, chicken and rice and beans on the side. It was pretty good. Little more seasoning on the food and more shrimp(I got 3 & bf got 8).

Was in the mood for mariscos so came to this spot. It was a Sunday and they had a live band. The food was good. Got me a mojarra frita en ajó and a michelada de Modelo which was really spicy but tolerable. The over all price we paid wasn't bad either.
